  • Part-time Overview We are seeking a passionate and bilingual Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic animal care team.
This vital role requires a dedicated individual who can seamlessly communicate in both English and Spanish, ensuring exceptional service for our diverse clientele. As a key member of our veterinary practice, you will provide compassionate pet care, assist with medical procedures, and support the overall well-being of our animal patients. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with medical examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques, including dog handling, animal restraint, and equine experience when applicable. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments accurately following veterinary terminology and protocols. Support animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, cleaning kennels, and maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment. Manage front desk duties including client check-in/out, appointment scheduling, and providing excellent customer service in both English and Spanish. Perform laboratory procedures such as sample collection, basic testing, and recording results accurately for diagnostic purposes. Assist with animal catheterization, venipuncture, and other technical procedures requiring animal anatomy knowledge and physiology understanding. Restrain animals during examinations or procedures while maintaining their safety and comfort. Maintain detailed records of pet care activities, treatments administered, and laboratory results to ensure seamless communication within the team. Experience Previous veterinary clinic experience or as a veterinary assistant, technician, CVT is highly preferred; experience in veterinary medicaine is
MANDATORY
Kennel experience combined with animal handling skills demonstrates your ability to care for various species effectively. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, laboratory techniques, and aseptic procedures is essential for success in this role. Strong background in pet care including dog handling, animal physiology, and pet medication administration will set you apart. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with clients and team members from diverse backgrounds. Experience working with animals such as dogs, cats, horses or other species enhances your ability to adapt quickly to different situations within the clinic setting.
