Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by assisting with animal handling, treatment preparation, and clinic operations. Duties Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and procedures Support veterinary technicians with medication administration, laboratory sample collection, and basic treatments Maintain cleanliness and aseptic technique in treatment areas to prevent infection and ensure compliance with health standards Help with pet care tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring behavior to promote animal comfort and well-being Support kennel operations by cleaning cages, monitoring hospitalized animals, and ensuring a safe environment for all pets Qualifications Prior kennel experience or animal husbandry background preferred; familiarity with pet care routines is a plus Experience working in veterinary clinics or with veterinary technicians highly desirable Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology to effectively assist in clinical tasks Strong animal handling skills including dog handling and equine experience is advantageous Ability to perform animal restraint safely and confidently while maintaining calmness under pressure Excellent communication for client interactions A proactive attitude with the motivation to learn about veterinary critical care practices and advanced animal care techniques Join us in delivering compassionate pet care while developing your expertise in a supportive team environment!
