Seeking a team player who is energetic, motivated and reliable. Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Surgery Veterinary Assistant to support our veterinary team during surgical procedures and patient care. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a clinical environment and is passionate about animal health. Key Responsibilities Prepare surgical suites, instruments, and equipment for procedures Assist veterinarians and technicians during surgeries Monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical tools and environments Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian Maintain accurate medical records Ensure proper handling and care of animals at all times Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care Knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques is a plus Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent (vet assistant certification preferred) Skills & Traits Team-oriented with strong communication skills Calm under pressure, especially during surgical procedures Physically able to lift and restrain animals when necessary Willingness to learn and grow in the veterinary field Salary will be commensurate with experience and/or licensure. At least one year of previous veterinary experience with developed technical skills required.
