Our team combines compassionate care with innovative rehabilitation therapies in a calm, supportive environment focused on helping both pets and their families thrive. We're looking for a compassionate, motivated Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our growing team. What You'll Do As a Veterinary Assistant at UpVR, you'll work closely with rehabilitation veterinarians and therapists to support patients throughout their recovery and wellness journey.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with patient handling during exams and rehabilitation sessions Supporting treatments including laser therapy, PEMF, underwater treadmill therapy, and therapeutic exercises Monitoring and recording patient vitals, progress notes, and treatment responses Obtaining patient histories prior to exams and preparing detailed notes through review of records from primary veterinarians and specialists Preparing and maintaining treatment areas and equipment Educating clients and reviewing at-home care instructions Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment Assisting with scheduling, phone calls, and general client communication Contributing to a positive, compassionate team culture What We're Looking For 1+ years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and mobility levels Calm, compassionate, and patient-centered approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Detail-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment Able to lift 40+ lbs and work on your feet or floor during treatments Experience in rehabilitation or integrative medicine is a plus, but we're happy to train motivated candidates who are eager to learn.
