Veterinary Kennel Attendant Key Responsibilities Safely handle and care for dogs and cats using proper animal handling techniques Maintain and clean the boarding and kennel facilities to ensure a safe, sanitary environment Provide daily care for boarded and hospitalized patients, including feeding, walking, and monitoring Assist with post-surgical care and recovery monitoring under staff direction Observe and report changes in patient behavior or condition to veterinary staff Perform detailed and thorough housekeeping duties throughout the clinic Support veterinary staff with daily operational tasks as needed Demonstrate consistent reliable attendance and punctuality Work scheduled weekend shifts as required Veterinary Kennel Attendant Qualifications & Skills Genuine passion for animal care and welfare Ability to safely handle animals of various sizes and temperaments Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow instructions and clinic protocols Reliable, punctual, and dependable work ethic Previous experience in animal care, kennels, boarding, or veterinary settings preferred (but not required) Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (standing, lifting, cleaning)
