Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

```Duties```

• Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic
• Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
• Collect and update patient information in the computer system
• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various procedures
• Handle financial transactions, including processing payments and managing invoices
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and their pets ```Skills```
• Animal husbandry: Knowledge of animal care practices, including feeding, grooming, and basic health care
• Dog training: Ability to handle and train dogs of different breeds and sizes

• Kennel:

  Experience in managing kennel operations, including cleaning, feeding, and exercising animals
• Animal catheterization: Proficiency in performing catheterization procedures on animals
• Animal handling: Ability to safely handle different types of animals, including restraining them during examinations or treatments
• Animal care: Understanding of general animal care principles, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs
• Veterinary terminology: Knowledge of common veterinary terms and procedures
• Dog handling: Skill in safely handling dogs during veterinary visits or procedures
• Pet care: Ability to provide basic care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medications Please note that while these skills are desirable for the position of Veterinary Receptionist, not all of them may be required.
