In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and clients, ensuring smooth clinic operations and outstanding pet care. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that promotes health, comfort, and trust for every animal that walks through our doors. Responsibilities Provide exceptional front desk service by greeting clients, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and answering inquiries with enthusiasm When needed, also assist with animal handling and restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques in treatment areas, surgical suites, and kennels to uphold high standards of hygiene and infection control Handle various animals confidently using knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and behavior to reduce stress and facilitate care - including feral cats When needed, support kennel operations by cleaning enclosures, monitoring animal health status, and assisting with pet transfers Qualifications Previous kennel experience or animal husbandry background preferred; experience working in a veterinary clinic is highly valued Strong animal handling skills across different species including dogs, cats, familiarity with dog handling techniques is advantageous Knowledge of veterinary terminology, laboratory procedures, medication protocols, and aseptic techniques Experience with animal restraint methods Ability to communicate effectively with clients about pet care instructions and clinic procedures Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compassion for animals and clients Join us in providing compassionate care while supporting the health of animals in our community.
