Job Description
Overview We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team at a busy holistic veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing the administrative tasks necessary for the smooth operation of our clinic. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Interest in rehab and holistic or natural veterinary medicine is a plus! Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism upon arrival at the clinic. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and vaccination records. Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail. Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed, including medication administration and patient check-ins. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and their pets. Provide information on pet care and wellness programs to clients. Experience Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar role within a veterinary clinic is preferred. Familiarity veterinary critical care is advantageous. Experience handling dogs and other animals in a clinical setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of equine care is a plus but not required. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
