Job Description

We Would Love for You to Join the My Pet's Vet Family!  My Pet's Vet is looking for a Vet Assistant with growth opportunities at our Kennesaw, Georgia Animal Hospital. At My Pet's Vet, our main goal is to create a happy and positive work culture. Responsibilities and Duties Your basic duties as a Vet Assistant are: Take great care of our patients Restraint of patients during procedures Cleaning kennels, exam rooms and treatment tables Run and set up lab tests Set up and breakdown before/after surgery Unload inventory Assist in taking digital x-rays Work closely with our Vet Techs and Doctors for x-rays procedures Qualifications and Skills Motivated and passionate about helping animals is a must Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion Excellent interpersonal communication skills Ability to properly restrain patients Ability to complete assigned tasks in the time allotted without direct supervision. A commitment to outstanding client service. Ability to lift objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance.
