Job Description
Westside Veterinary Hospital is a small, privately owned veterinary hospital seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dependable Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who genuinely loves animals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has excellent customer service and multitasking skills. This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling, typically ranging from 34-40 hours per week. Pay $15.50
- $19.50 per hour Pay is based on experience and skill level. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care
- Run exam rooms and obtain patient histories
- Assist doctors in developing and carrying out treatment plans Properly restrain dogs and cats for exams and procedures
- Draw blood samples and place IV catheters
- Assist with radiographs using proper positioning techniques
- Prepare and maintain treatment and surgical areas
- Monitor hospitalized patients
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes
- Provide exceptional client communication and customer service
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year veterinary experience is required
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to handle emotional and stressful situations professionally
