We are supportive, customer-centric, rewarding and our goal is to Medlock Bridge Animal Hospital has been helping families and pets since 1994! . We are primarily a small animal hospital (dogs and cats) but we also help some other small mammals such as rabbits and rats. We have three doctors and we service a good variety of cases every day. Our hospital is equipped to perform surgeries, digital radiographs, dental procedures, ultrasounds, in-house bloodwork, etc. We are currently looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care. The Veterinary Assistant will be responsible for providing medical care to animals, assisting the veterinarian with examinations and treatments, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing laboratory tests. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills and be able to provide compassionate care to all patients.
Responsibilities:
Provide medical care to animals under the supervision of a veterinarian. Administer medications and vaccinations as prescribed by a veterinarian. Monitor vital signs and provide nursing care to animals. Perform laboratory tests and interpret results. Assist in the preparation of animals for surgery. Educate clients on animal health care and nutrition. Maintain accurate records of animal treatments and procedures.
