RELIEF Veterinary Assistant / Technician

An experienced, hard-working, and reliable employee for relief (contract) veterinary technician / assistant work. Experience is required however licensing/credentials are not. Any licensed or credentialed professionals will have priority for hiring. Pay within the advertised range depends on candidate's experience and skillset . Position:

Contract (Part-time) 10-20hrs, 1-2 x 10hr shifts, Thursdays 8AM-6PM and Saturdays between 8:30AM-5PM. As a relief nurse, you'll support our medical team during busy periods and/or staff absences.

What You'll Do:

Assist veterinarians during examinations and other medical procedures. Restrain animals safely and humanely Record patient histories and collect vitals Client Education Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments Perform laboratory tests and assisting with diagnostics Venipuncture, IV Catheter Placement, Intubation Perform and run anesthesia under veterinarian supervision Client Education Use a user friendly practice management software (Covetrus Pulse)

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
