Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our busy practice. Certification or qualified to become certified in the State of Idaho is preferred. The ideal Candidate must be motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Requirements include excellent communication skills; team oriented; high-quality patient and client care; ability to work with dogs and cats in a safe and caring manner; and a positive and open-minded attitude. Working knowledge of Cornerstone software is a plus. Pay is dependent on experience with benefits including health insurance, 401k with company match and uniform allowance.   • Support veterinarians and co-workers during patient examinations, treatments, and surgeries
  • Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
  • Assist with animal handling and restraint
  • Perform basic laboratory procedures and tests
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary facility
  • Provide compassionate care to animals in distress
  • Assist with client education on topics such as pet care and nutrition Experience
  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant is preferred
  • Knowledge of animal catheterization is a plus
