Job Description
Job Overview The Animal Medical Center of Emmett is currently seeking out a few new members to add to our kennel staff, this position is primarily janitorial, previous experience in any sort of kennel cleaning is acceptable. Responsibilities Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable kennel and treatment areas for animals in our care. Sterilize and maintain surgical packs. Clean and restock our dental and surgical suites and treatment areas. Take out garbage Sweep and mop as needed or directed. Clean and disinfect recovery kennels and runs. Dishes Laundry Skills Prior kennel experience combined with strong animal husbandry skills that demonstrate compassion and responsibility. Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology to support clinical activities effectively. Experience with animal restraint techniques for dogs, cats, and other species; familiarity with equine handling is a plus. Excellent animal handling skills across various breeds and sizes; comfort working with animals requiring critical care or special attention. Strong communication skills Strong work ethic and attendance, Attention to detail. Ability to take directions and follow through with tasks.
