Job Description

Veterinary Assistant / Technician Experience Strongly Preferred We're a growing, privately owned veterinary practice looking to add a Veterinary Assistant or Technician to our team. We're a small, close-knit group that genuinely enjoys working together and takes pride in providing thoughtful, high-quality care. Our days can be fast-paced, but we keep things positive, communicate openly, and support each other every step of the way. We are strongly prioritizing candidates with previous veterinary experience, someone who already understands the flow of a clinic and can step in with confidence. That said, we're open to the right person with a great attitude and strong work ethic who's eager to learn and grow in the field. What You'll Do Assist veterinarians during exams, procedures, and surgery Safely handle and care for patients with confidence and compassion Support diagnostics, treatments, and day-to-day patient care Monitor hospitalized and surgical patients and communicate any concerns promptly Maintain accurate medical records Help keep the clinic organized, clean, and running smoothly For experienced candidates, this role includes hands-on responsibilities such as venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, and in-house lab work. What We're Looking For Previous veterinary clinic experience strongly preferred Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all temperaments Someone who can jump in, stay organized, and keep up on busy days A positive, team-first attitude and willingness to help wherever needed Strong communication skills with both clients and coworkers Attention to detail and pride in your work Compensation $15-$18/hr for entry-level candidates (training role) $18-$21/hr for experienced veterinary assistants/technicians Final compensation is based on experience, skill set, and level of independence in the role.
