Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician or Assistant, where your passion for animal care and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians with clinical procedures, assist in animal handling, and ensure a high standard of pet care in a fast-paced environment. Position Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures. Patient restraint and compassionate animal handling Perform laboratory tasks such as sample collection and processing tests Administer medications and treatments as directed Monitor anesthesia, prepare animals for surgery, take radiographs, and maintain accurate medical records Manage animal husbandry duties including feeding, bathing, cleaning cages, and patient monitoring Client education and communication regarding pet care, medications and treatment plans Maintain cleanliness, restocking, and organization of the entire hospital Qualifications Veterinary Technician experience preferred Strong communication and multitasking skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Compassionate, positive, and team-focused attitude Ability to lift and restrain pets safely Basic computer and medical record experience. Must be able to work weekdays 7:45 - 6:00 or later, and team members are expected to remain until all patient care duties and daily responsibilities are completed The Hospital is closed Saturday and Sunday, but you will have 1 rotating weekend approximately every 5 weeks with possible responsibilities assisting the veterinarian or caring for animals
Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
