Job Description
We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work as a Seasonal Animal Care Worker within the DuPage County Animal Services Department. This position will support a variety of animal care and wellness activities at the shelter. This position is eligible for Paid Leave hours at a proportional rate based on the number of hours regularly scheduled to work. Responsibilities Include:
Assist animal caretaking and veterinary staff Clean cages, feed and exercise all animals housed in the shelter Observe, record and discuss animal health and behavior Assist with animal training and enrichment programs Cleans dishes and folds laundry On a limited basis; support the veterinarian and veterinary technician in surgery preparation, health checks, vaccinations, and microchipping Sort and store donations Prepare adoption packets and data entry Must be able to commit to a 37.5 hour work week for a minimum of 11 weeks to include weekends and holidays as scheduled.No minimum academic requirements.
