  • Part-time Veterinary Specialty Practice (VSP) is a privately owned specialty hospital led by Dr.

Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive pay: $17

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to patients
  • Perform routine procedures but not limited to medication administration, blood draws for diagnostic testing, monitor anesthesia, IV catheter placement, etc. as directed by veterinarians
  • Monitor and record vital signs of patients during procedures and treatments
  • Prepare patients for surgery and assist during surgical procedures for minimally-invasive anaesthetic procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and sterility of surgical instruments and equipment
  • Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of patients
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
Required Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent education/training
  • Proficient in animal handling, and animal restraint techniques
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and proper sterilization procedures
  • Experience with animal catheterization and administering medications
  • Familiarity with veterinary software systems for record-keeping
