Our awesome kennel assistants do a lot more than just kennel care since the clinic does not have any boarding animals. Bilingual (Spanish) applicants will be preferred, but this is not a requirement. We are looking for a team player who is: Positive Energetic Takes initiative Punctual Able to learn from others Accountable Able to handle fast paced environment Willing to lend a hand wherever needed Applicants will be expected to (but not limited to); Restrain cats and dogs safely (restraint experience is a requirement!) Communicate with clients both over the phone and in person Be able to lift up to 50lbs (>50lbs will be assisted) Be able to bend and get up and down multiple times during the day Help keep our facility clean, sanitized, and organized Keep track of daily tasks & duties Clean and prepare rooms for each client and patient Be able to stand for extended periods Keep items stocked and organized Maintain clean cages for our dropped off patients Assist the Technicians/Assistants and the DVMs whenever help may be needed. Specific training for in-house lab machines and radiographs will be provided. Dog and cat restraint experience is required.
Hours will be:
Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday- 8:45am to 6pm with likely 1 Saturday (8am to 1pm) per month. We are only open on the first and third Saturdays of the month.
