Summary At Dr. Weldy's Associates, we are a busy, dynamic, and compassionate mixed-animal veterinary clinic, currently looking for a highly motivated and skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our small animal team. With 8 dedicated doctors and a talented team of professionals, we provide top-quality care to a variety of pets in our community. As a Veterinary Assistant at Dr. Weldy's Associates , you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinary team in delivering exceptional care to our animal patients. This position is essential for maintaining the clinic's operations and ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures. Provide compassionate care to animals in the clinic. Handle and restrain animals safely during treatments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment. Prepare laboratory samples and assist with diagnostic tests. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animal's care. Requirements Experience in veterinary settings or animal care preferred. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal handling techniques. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of animal physiology is a plus.
