Ideal candidate would possess a great attitude, have the ability to multi-task, be a fast learner, communicate well with clients and employees, is well versed in experienced with safe animal handling skills, be able to maintain written records and have computer skills. This position requires flexibility in shift scheduling. This is a physically active position that requires lifting, cleaning and animal handling. Position includes a 3 month training period. Experience required in veterinary assistance and surgical monitoring.

Responsibilities include:

Taking medical history Assisting Veterinarian in exam room or surgery Assisting for x-rays Follow up calls Dispensing medicines from pharmacy Chart and appointment preparation Preparing samples for the lab Cleaning exam rooms, surgical suite and kennel runs Caring for the animals in the hospital Answering the phones and scheduling appointments Client education

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
