We provide treatment to pets that have decreased mobility, strength, or may be having pain. Many of the pets we treat have had surgery, an injury, or may simply be losing mobility due to aging. The ideal candidate
MUST :
Experience handling animals Have excellent customer service skills, on the phone and in person Utilize good time management Follow directions well Work well with others Proficient computer skills You will be working under the direction of a physical therapist that is certified in canine rehabilitation and with other experienced assistants. Training will be provided in assisting with patient care including modalities, teaching home exercises, and utilizing an underwater treadmill. Behavior and Training experience is an advantage, as assistants are expected to demonstrate independent competency in teaching new behaviors such as exersises to the owner and the pet, as well as safely handle a wide range in sizes of temperament of pets. You will be communicating with pet owners and team members verbally and in written/typed forms. You will also be answering phones, entering new patients, scheduling appointments, cleaning up after patients and at the end of the day. Pawgressive Steps has been open for just over 5 years and has experienced tremendous growth. We are looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic as well as compassion. We take pride in providing high quality treatment with excellent communication and customer service. This position is full time. This job consists of working weekdays & rotating weekend shifts.
