Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Kennel Technician, where your passion for animals and commitment to exceptional pet care will shine! In this vital role, you will provide top-quality animal husbandry, ensure the comfort and safety of our furry guests, and support veterinary professionals with daily tasks. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for pets and their owners alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in animal care, veterinary procedures, and kennel management while making a positive impact on the lives of animals. Responsibilities Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable kennel environments for animals in our care Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, and medication administration Support veterinary staff with basic procedures. Monitor animals' health status, observe for signs of illness or distress, and report findings promptly Administer medications accurately following veterinary instructions and aseptic techniques Provide pet care including feeding, bathing, grooming, and exercise to promote well-being Support front desk operations by updating medical records as needed. Qualifications Previous kennel experience or animal husbandry background preferred Experience with dog handling, animal restraint techniques, and pet care routines preferred Familiarity with veterinary clinic procedures such as medication administration Strong animal handling skills across species including dogs and cats preferred Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with veterinary teams and pet owners Join us in providing compassionate care that makes a difference!
