  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant / Technician to join our team.
In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians and high-quality care to animals. You will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to animal care, ensuring a safe and clean environment, and contributing to the overall well-being of our patients. We are a privately-owned clinic that offers in-house diagnostics such as lab, ultrasound, digital full-body and dental x-rays. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by restraining animals and providing necessary tools. Perform routine animal care tasks, including feeding, bathing, and grooming pets. Maintain accurate medical records and assist in the administration of medications as directed by the veterinarian. Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis, ensuring proper handling and processing of samples. Educate pet owners on proper care techniques, nutrition, and wellness practices. Ensure cleanliness of the facility by maintaining a sanitary environment in examination rooms, kennels, ect. Handle dogs and other animals safely while demonstrating knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy. Experience Candidates should possess relevant experience or knowledge in the following areas: Proficiency in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both staff and animals. Familiarity with veterinary terminology to communicate effectively within the veterinary team. A background in laboratory work related to veterinary practices is beneficial but not mandatory. Candidates should be personable, reliable team-players with strong communication and time-management skills. We are a busy, fast-paced practice that values patient care and customer service.
