Job Description

Belvedere Veterinary Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. Job Description Summary:
The Veterinary Assistant is a key member of the hospital team who supports and assists the veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring the safety of pets, clients and other associates, and the continuity of quality veterinary care. Duties include, but are not limited to: Knowledge about vaccines Proper restraining for patients Running in- house lab work Radiology and surgical patient care assistance Medication preparation and administration Preparing vaccinations Preparing prescriptions Organizing, restocking, & cleaning exam rooms, pharmacy area, treatment room, and surgical areas Hospital laundry Opening up delivery packages Cleaning and sanitizing patient areas Entering medical notes and charges as needed into software Other duties, as assigned
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and/or restrain 50 pounds Standing for long periods with frequent bending, kneeling, stooping and reaching Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and other physical activities for minimum 8-12 hour periods based on your schedule So, what can you expect from us?

High school or equivalent (Preferred)
