Duties Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and procedures, including animal restraint and handling. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean, organized clinic environment following aseptic techniques. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under supervision, ensuring accurate dosage and proper documentation. Support animal husbandry activities such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring health status. Handle pet check-ins and check-outs at the front desk, managing appointment scheduling and client communication. Conduct laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures including sample collection and processing. Support emergency critical care cases by assisting with animal stabilization and monitoring vital signs. Qualifications Previous kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience is highly desirable. Strong animal handling skills across various species including dogs, cats, horses, and small animals. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and restraint techniques. Experience with medication administration, catheterization, aseptic techniques, and laboratory procedures. Excellent communication skills for front desk duties and client interactions. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine passion for pet care and animal welfare; prior veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus.
