Job Description

Veterinary Kennel Assistant - Part‑Time We are a small privately owned practice looking for a reliable and hardworking Part‑Time Kennel Assistant to join our team. This role is essential to keeping our patients safe, comfortable, and cared for, and to helping our clinic run smoothly each day. Position Overview The Kennel Assistant supports the medical team by maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary environment throughout the clinic. This is a hands‑on role that involves cleaning, animal care support, and general clinic upkeep. Key Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of kennels, treatment areas, and common spaces Perform laundry throughout the day (towels, blankets, surgical linens) Keep outdoor yard and exercise areas clean and waste‑free Clean and disinfect urine, feces, and other messes as needed Restock exam rooms, treatment areas, and supplies Assist with assembling basic surgical packs (training provided) Support staff with general cleaning and organization tasks Qualifications Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Comfortable working around dogs and cats of all sizes Able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods Strong attention to detail and willingness to maintain high sanitation standards. Previous animal or kennel experience is helpful but not required. (Training provided.) Schedule Part‑time hours; schedule will include weekdays only. Why Join Us?
