Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist, where your enthusiasm and compassion will make a real difference in the lives of animals and their owners. Duties Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk with professionalism and efficiency Handle medical collections accurately, ensuring proper billing and payment processing Assist with animal restraint during examinations and procedures to ensure safety for animals and staff Support veterinary staff with animal handling, including dog training, pet grooming, and pet care routines Maintain detailed records of animal treatments, laboratory results, and veterinary terminology documentation Perform kennel duties such as cleaning, feeding, and monitoring animals' well-being to promote optimal animal husbandry Assist with laboratory procedures and aseptic techniques during diagnostic testing or sample collection Support veterinary critical care efforts by understanding animal anatomy and administering basic treatments or catheterizations when needed Manage pet intake and discharge processes efficiently while ensuring proper documentation of all procedures Qualifications Prior experience in veterinary settings or animal handling is highly preferred; including kennel experience or equine experience Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal restraint techniques, and aseptic procedures is essential Familiarity with laboratory procedures, medical collection techniques, and animal catheterization is a plus Strong skills in dog handling, pet grooming, and pet care contribute to providing excellent client service and animal comfort Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for animals Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and external vendors A passion for animal welfare combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in veterinary critical care and animal husbandry Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to advancing animal health through compassionate care and professional excellence.
