Job Description

Experienced LVTs and Veterinary Assistants - Enjoy Emergency Medicine in Beautiful Northern Michigan Bay Area Pet Hospital is a privately owned 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital located in beautiful Traverse City, MI. We are committed to providing exceptional urgent and critical care while fostering a supportive, team-oriented work enviroment. We are currently seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing emergency team. Scheduling may include four 10-hour shifts or 3-12 hour shifts, mid and late night shifts, offering flexibility while enjoying everything Northern Michigan has to offer. Possible relocation bonus to qualified candidate.
Position Responsibilities Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with outpatient emergency visits
  • Performing diagnostics and treatments
  • Patient triage and emergency intakes
  • Medication preparation and dispensing
  • Assisting with emergency and surgical procedures
  • Communicating effectively with clients and team members Our emergency doctors are present in the hospital at all hours, providing continous support and collaboration for both patients and staff.
Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate:
  • Is enthusiastic about emergency and critical care medicine
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicates professionally and compassionately with clients and coworkers
  • Is dependable, self-motivated, and team oriented
  • Is willing to work mid, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts Has Proficiency or experience in:
  • Venipuncture and catheter placement
  • Running diagnostics
  • Surgical technician and monitoring of patients
  • In-person and phone triage
