Job Description

Town & Country Veterinary Services is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to support our doctors and technicians in providing exceptional care. If you're organized, team-oriented, and passionate about helping pets, we want to meet you! Primary Responsibilities Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures Safely handle and restrain animals of all sizes and temperaments Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas with necessary supplies and equipment Clean and maintain hospital to ensure a safe, sanitary environment Provide basic animal care, including feeding, walking, and monitoring patients Accurately record medical information in ClienTrax Triage phone calls from Clients Scheduling appointments and surgeries Telephone Communication skills handling multiple phonelines Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about their pet's care and needs Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary assistant or animal care role preferred Strong animal-handling and multitasking skills Positive, team-focused attitude with a commitment to quality care Ability to remain calm and compassionate in a busy environment Experience with Heska lab equipment is a plus! Compensation & Benefits Pay range:$16.00-$18.00/hour, depending on experience We offer the following benefits: Staff discounts and paid time off Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Hours of Operation & Scheduling Our clinic is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 7pm, Wednesdays from 8am to 4pm and Fridays 8am to 5pm. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.
