  • Full-time Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and become a vital part of providing compassionate, high-quality care to animals of all kinds.
In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by performing essential animal care duties, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring a welcoming environment for pet owners. Responsibilities Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety for pets and staff Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians or veterinary technicians, following aseptic techniques Handle animals of various species, including dogs, cats, and equines, demonstrating excellent animal handling and physiology knowledge Support kennel operations by cleaning, feeding, and caring for hospitalized or boarded animals to promote their recovery and comfort Prepare animals for surgery or diagnostic tests by collecting samples, setting up equipment, and maintaining laboratory records Maintain accurate medical records, update patient files, and assist with client communication at the front desk Support veterinary technicians with laboratory work, animal catheterization, and other technical procedures requiring veterinary terminology expertise Requirements Prior kennel experience or animal husbandry background is highly preferred Experience working in a veterinary clinic or with veterinary technicians is advantageous Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, restraint techniques, and aseptic procedures is essential Ability to handle animals safely during dog handling, pet care routines, and animal restraint tasks Familiarity with medication administration protocols and laboratory procedures in a veterinary setting Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members at the front desk Previous experience with equine care or large animal handling is a plus but not required This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in veterinary medicine.
