• Part-time, Full-time We are a busy two doctor practice hoping to add an additional veterinarian and 1 full or part time veterinary technician/assistant to our staff.

At least 2-3 years experience required. We utilize some of the most up to date equipment such as a CO2 surgical laser, digital radiography, digital dental radiography and a class IV therapy laser. Staff members are encouraged to fully utilize their skills and knowledge. We work hard but also take time to celebrate birthdays, work anniversaries, holidays and veterinary technician and receptionist weeks.

Some Responsibilities Include:

• Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
• Perform routine procedures such as injections, phlebotomy, iv catheter placement and dental cleanings
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Monitor patients during surgery and recovery
• Take radiographs for diagnostic purposes
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology
• Proficient in handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately
• Ability to operate veterinary equipment, including X-ray machines
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Compassionate and empathetic towards animals and their owners
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
