• Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

In this role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to animals. You will be responsible for assisting with various tasks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the well-being of our patients while delivering exceptional customer service to pet owners. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and equipment are prepared and available. Provide front desk support, including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records. Monitor animal health by observing behavior and physical condition, reporting any changes to the veterinary staff. Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian or technician. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the clinic, including kennels, examination rooms, and laboratory areas. Assist with laboratory tasks such as collecting samples and performing basic tests. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, including nutrition, grooming, and preventive health measures. Demonstrate knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology to effectively communicate with the team. Experience Ideal candidates will have experience or knowledge in the following areas: Front desk operations within a veterinary or medical setting. Veterinary critical care procedures and protocols. Understanding of animal anatomy and physiology to assist in diagnostics and treatment plans. Familiarity with animal husbandry practices to ensure optimal care for all animals in the clinic. Experience in pet care settings such as kennels or shelters is a plus. Proficiency in veterinary terminology to facilitate communication among staff members.
