Veterinary Receptionist / Assistant

Duties:

• Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the clinic's calendar
• Collect and update patient information, including medical history and reminders
• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various procedures, such as animal handling and laboratory sample collection
• Provide basic pet care instructions to clients, including feeding, medication administration, and grooming tips
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room
• Process payments and handle billing inquiries

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
• Familiarity with aseptic technique for maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Experience in handling dogs and cats in a calm and compassionate manner Please note that experience in a veterinary setting, pet sitting, kennel work, or any other related field is highly desirable.
