Veterinary Assistant - Join Our New Team at Tails of KC Animal Hospital! About the
Role:
Are you passionate about animals and eager to learn in a hands-on, fast-paced environment? Tails of KC Animal Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to be a vital part of our new clinic! This is the perfect opportunity for someone who thrives on teamwork, empathy, and delivering exceptional client care. As a Veterinary Assistant at Tails of KC, you'll gain valuable experience while helping us build a practice that's centered around compassionate care and innovation. What You'll Do:
Hands-On Patient Care:
Assist with restraint, injections, vitals, and basic medical tasks. Support the
Team:
Work alongside veterinarians and technicians during exams and treatments.
Routine Tasks:
Perform lab work, urinalysis, dental cleaning prep, and get equipment ready for procedures.
Clinic Maintenance:
Help keep the clinic organized and clean, including exam rooms, treatment areas, and kennels.
Client Interaction:
Greet clients, answer phones, and help manage clinic flow, making every client feel welcome and supported.
Patient Care:
Assist with feeding, exercising, and general care of our patients, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable.

Strong communication and multitasking skills - the clinic can get busy, and you're ready to handle it! Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods - we're a high-energy team and need someone who can keep up.
