Responsibilities Assist with animal restraint and handling during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Support veterinary staff with medication administration, sample collection, and laboratory procedures to aid in accurate diagnostics. Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques in treatment areas, surgical suites, and laboratories to uphold infection control standards. Provide compassionate pet care and animal husbandry. Help manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering client inquiries, and processing patient records efficiently. Support veterinary critical care efforts by monitoring hospitalized animals and assisting with emergency procedures when needed. Contribute to the team's success by learning veterinary terminology, assisting with animal anatomy and physiology understanding, and supporting overall clinic operations. Experience Prior veterinary clinic experience (of at least 1 year) required. Familiarity with animal restraint techniques, medication administration, and laboratory procedures is preferred. Knowledge of pet care practices including dog handling, animal catheterization, and aseptic techniques will help you excel. Strong animal handling skills combined with excellent communication abilities are key to building trusting relationships with clients and animals alike.
