This is a full time position, working four to five days per week. Clinic Hours are 7:30-5:30 Monday through Friday, Saturday 8:00-12:00, and rotating weekend and holiday duty. The position includes interacting with clients in person and on the telephone, often those who are under stress or in emergency situations. It also includes computerized scheduling, dispensing medication, routine office tasks, and cleaning. Must be able perform skilled technician duties, including, but not limited to, proper medical record history, collect, run and read lab samples, discharge of all routine surgeries, perform nail trims, ear cleaning, anal gland expressions, review prescribed medication, products, and diets. Restrain animals as necessary. Assist in surgery and monitor anesthesia, and place catheters. Excellent face to face people skills and telephone skills are required. Superior organization, outstanding computer skills, and compassionate care for animals is required.
