Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant / Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care! This energetic role offers the opportunity to work closely with animals, supporting veterinarians and pet owners alike. You will engage in a variety of tasks that promote animal health and well-being, ensuring every patient receives compassionate, professional treatment. Whether you're assisting with diagnostics, animal handling, or clinical procedures, your contribution will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and sample collection. Prepare animals for examinations and surgeries and maintaining aseptic techniques. Assisting in the use of diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines and laboratory instruments to support accurate diagnoses. Handle dogs and cats with confidence using proper handling and animal restraint techniques. Maintain detailed records of pet care, laboratory results, and treatment plans while adhering to veterinary terminology standards. Support pet owners through education on pet care, vaccination schedules and post-operative instructions. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, kennels, and surgical suites to uphold safety protocols. Qualifications Prior kennel experience or hands-on animal handling skills are highly preferred. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy is essential. Experience with dental terminology, dog training, and pet care enhances your suitability for this role. Veterinary technician experience or veterinary critical care background is required Laboratory experience including sample processing or X-ray operation is desirable. Ability to perform animal catheterization, aseptic techniques, and manage laboratory procedures confidently.
