- Supporting our team through learning and professional growth Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Support Safely handle and restrain patients during exams and procedures Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures Obtain and record patient vitals (weight, temperature, etc.
) Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments (Technician role) Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes Diagnostics & Laboratory Work (Technician Role) Collect and run diagnostic tests (fecal exams, urinalysis, cytology, bloodwork) Prepare samples for outside laboratories Maintain accurate medical records Surgical Support (Technician Role) Prepare surgical suite, instruments, and patients Assist with anesthesia monitoring and surgical procedures Support patient recovery and post-operative care Client Interaction Escort clients and patients to exam rooms Gather patient history and assist with intake Provide discharge instructions and client education Communicate clearly and compassionately, including during difficult situations Hospital Maintenance Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms, treatment areas, and kennels Follow proper sanitation and infection control protocols Stock supplies and manage inventory What Success Looks Like Patients are handled safely, gently, and compassionately The hospital runs efficiently with strong teamwork Clients feel confident, informed, and cared for Medical records are accurate and complete The clinic environment remains clean, calm, and organized
