full-time(30+ HOURS

PER WEEK

) Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team, to include 3 DVMs. We are a hospital that places importance on work /life balance. We do not offer boarding or overnight hospitalization. Surgeries are scheduled 5 days a week. Surgery experience is preferred.

YOU MUST HAVE VETERINARY ASSISTANT EXPERIENCE.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, is reliable, eager to learn, professional, and compassionate. Candidates are preferred to have experience in the following areas: Proper and effective restraint Venipuncture Place IV catheters Give injections (IV, IM, & subq) Pharmacy Duties In-house lab work Radiology Handling medical records Surgical assistance Maintaining and monitoring anesthetized patients Assist with dental procedures Wrapping& sterilizing instruments Client education Other responsibilities include: Answering phones, scheduling appointments, following up with clients, etc. cross training Candidates must possess excellent customer service and communication skills (with clients and co-workers), be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment. Saturday availability on a weekly rotating basis is required. Salary is negotiable, competitive to market, and dependent on experience. Avimark experience is a plus! Minimum 1 year experience is required .
