We specialize in caring for Charlotte's special needs pets and those with behavioral challenges—such as diabetics requiring insulin, pets needing subcutaneous fluids, or fearful pets that benefit from someone who understands body language and uses fear-free handling techniques. While this is our specialty, we also care for many happy, healthy pets as well. VetSitting provides those who have dedicated their careers to animal care with an additional income stream and the opportunity to further utilize their skills in a flexible, fulfilling environment. We offer in-home overnight pet sitting, drop-in visits, dog walking, and select in-home services such as nail trims and anal gland expressions. Please note that overnight stays in clients' homes are often the highest-paying opportunities. To be considered, candidates must have at least one year of experience in the veterinary field, be comfortable administering SQ injections, and be confident working with fearful or anxious pets. Fear Free certification is preferred but not required. We are looking to add a qualified, reliable, and trustworthy member to our team. Applicants must be able to pass a background and reference check, have reliable transportation, and a smartphone for providing client updates. And how do you apply it? How many years of veterinary assistant/technician experience do you have? How many nights per week are you available for overnight stays? These start between 6/7pm until 6/7am and is a slumber party with a pet at the clients home, not an overnight shift where you are awake all night. What hours are you available to do Vetsitting? If you will be doing this in addition to your full time job, please share your current work schedule so I can access how this can fit into your schedule. Do you have holiday availability for Thanksgiving? Christmas? and/or NYE? Do you have a smart phone and your own reliable transportation?
