Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Experienced Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional animal care, assist veterinarians with medical procedures, and ensure a smooth flow of daily operations within our busy practice. Your expertise will help deliver top-tier veterinary services, improve patient outcomes, and support pet owners in providing the best care for their animals. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques Handle dogs and cats, with confidence, ensuring safe restraint and handling to reduce stress and injury Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses Conduct animal husbandry tasks including feeding, medicating, and maintaining cleanliness of kennels and treatment areas Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet dental cleanings and treatments Administer medications via various routes including animal catheterization while adhering to veterinary terminology and safety protocols Maintain detailed records of patient treatments, lab results, and procedural notes in compliance with clinic standards Skills Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and analysis for diagnostic purposes Skilled in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during examinations or procedures Familiarity with X-ray operation and interpretation to support diagnostic imaging needs Ability to communicate clearly with clients about pet care instructions using veterinary terminology Experience with aseptic techniques during surgical or invasive procedures ensures infection control standards are met Join our team if you're ready to bring energy, dedication, and compassion into a rewarding veterinary environment where your skills truly make a difference!
