As a Kennel Technician, you will play a critical role in patient comfort, cleanliness, and daily care , while supporting our medical team and ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pets and their families. For over 50 years, Westchester Animal Hospital has provided high-quality, compassionate care to pets across High Point and the surrounding Triad communities. What You'll Do This is a Kennel Technician / Animal Care role , primarily focused on: Provide daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets, including: Feeding, walking, and monitoring appetite and behavior Cleaning and maintaining kennels and enclosures Bathing pets and supporting basic grooming needs Monitor patient comfort, behavior, and overall well-being and report concerns to the medical team Safely handle and restrain dogs, cats, and small mammals/exotic pets Perform deep cleaning and sanitation of: Kennels, treatment areas, and exam rooms Laundry and bedding Outdoor play yards and common areas Maintain a clean, organized, and professional hospital environment at all times Assist with client communication during boarding drop-off and discharge Provide basic education to pet owners regarding: Boarding stay updates Feeding instructions and routine care Ensure a positive, friendly, and professional client experience

What We're Looking For Required:

High school diploma or GED Passion for animal care and comfort working hands-on with pets Ability to perform physically active work (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, walking) Strong work ethic and willingness to support cleaning and facility upkeep Positive, team-oriented attitude

Preferred:

Starting Pay:
