In this energetic role, you will assist with daily clinic operations, provide compassionate animal handling, and ensure a clean, safe environment for all patients. Your dedication to animal welfare and teamwork will help create a positive experience for every pet and client that walks through our doors. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, including animal restraint, medication administration, and sample collection. Provide exceptional pet care by feeding, and monitoring animals' health status throughout their visit. Support animal husbandry tasks such as cleaning kennels, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring proper animal housing conditions. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques while demonstrating knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy. Prepare examination rooms and assist with laboratory procedures, including sample processing and basic diagnostic tests. Occasionally assisting front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering client inquiries, and maintaining accurate patient records. Follow aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and ensure a sterile environment within the clinic. Requirements Previous kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience is highly preferred. Strong animal handling skills across various species, including dogs, and cats. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, pet care practices, and laboratory procedures. Experience with medication administration, animal catheterization, and restraint techniques. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
