Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to support our urgent care team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and enjoys working with both traditional and exotic patients. The successful candidate will have experience and education with dogs and cats, with exotic patient experience preferred. Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians and technicians with urgent and emergency exams, procedures, and treatments Monitor and care for hospitalized patients, including feeding and administering medications Obtain vital signs and assist with laboratory diagnostics and radiology Communicate clearly with clients during urgent situations Maintain accurate medical records Keep treatment areas clean, organized, and fully stocked Support the team during overnight emergencies Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Experience with dogs and cats required; exotic experience preferred Ability to safely handle and restrain animals of all sizes and species Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced urgent care environment Willingness to work overnight shifts Commitment to professionalism and high-quality patient careWhy Join Us:
