About the
Primary responsibilities include:
Safely and effectively restraining pets using low-stress techniquesTriage and intake of incoming patientsCollecting and processing lab samples (blood, urine, fecal, etc.)Assisting with radiographs and diagnostic imagingAdministering medications and monitoring patientsSupporting nursing care for hospitalized and medical casesPreparing patients and instruments for surgery; assisting in proceduresMonitoring patients under anesthesiaCommunicating treatment plans and updates to clients with compassion and clarityMust be comfortable with exposure to strong odors, loud noises, animal waste, bites, scratches, and potentially contagious conditionsQualificationsWe're looking for:
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant (required)Confidence in restraint, lab work, and assisting with proceduresWeekend availability (some shifts)Excellent communication and customer service skillsStrong multitasking ability and attention to detailFamiliarity with preventative care, surgical support, and clinic flow
