Job Description

Veterinary Assistant, Veterinary Nurse/Registered Technician:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated animal health professionals. We want to empower you to utilize all your skills and knowledge in a supportive and cooperative team environment. As a technician you will be caring for patients, communicating with and educating clients on how best to care for their animals.
Responsibilities include:
Rooming patients and taking history information and vitals. Managing patient records, entering information and treatments into the patient's medical record. Lifting, restraining and positioning patients for examinations and various procedures like venipuncture, nail trims, radiographs and other minor procedures. Administering medications , venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia induction and maintenance, and post operative care,. Client communication and education regarding services offered, Puppy/kitten care, parasiticides, vaccinations and other preventative recommendations along with more in-depth education on specific topics like diabetes, arthritis care, home fluid administration and others. Laboratory services•collecting samples and processing them for in•hospital analysis or transport to an outside laboratory for testing. Surgical nursing including patient preparation and positioning, monitoring and post operative care and maintaining surgical equipment and tools Other duties as assigned
Compensation/benefits:
Assistant•$16-18.75 Dependent on experience RVT/LVT $20•24 Full time hours/part time negotiable Health insurance Pet care discounts PTO/Holiday pay

$16.00•$24.00 per hour
