We are located on Central Avenue one block west of University Blvd. We are a locally owned, independent practice with no corporate affiliation. Our mission is to provide accessible and affordable veterinary care to the community while prioritizing staff well-being and mental health.
We offer excellent work/life balance:
no weekends, no on-call, 4-day work week. We are looking for staff who want to help build a positive and supportive work culture, work as a team, and have fun. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, willing to learn and work hard, and love sneaking in a quick puppy snuggle between tasks. ABQ Spay & Neuter operates differently than a traditional veterinary clinic. We do not see wellness or sick pet appointments. All we do is surgery, mainly spay and neuter, but other surgeries as well. We also offer dental cleanings and extractions with dental radiographs. While a traditional veterinary clinic may perform 4-5 surgeries in a day, we perform 20-25 surgeries and 4-5 dentals. This keeps our prices low, but still allows us to provide high quality care to our patients. We have a generous benefits package including medical/dental/vision insurance, a generous pet services discount including free bloodwork, and PTO. We are open Tuesday-Friday and work hours are 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Job Description As an Veterinary Assistant/Technician , you will directly assist the veterinarian.
