Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant

Canisteo Veterinary Hospital is seeking a compassionate, motivated Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant to join our close-knit hospital family. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with both people and pets , takes pride in excellent customer service, and wants to grow professionally in a supportive environment. What You'll Do Client Service & Front Desk Support Be the welcoming face and friendly voice of our hospital—handling check-ins, phone calls, emails, and messages Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently Educate clients on basic veterinary care and hospital services Process invoices and payments with attention to detail Assist with prescription refills and client questions under veterinary guidance Patient Care & Veterinary Assistance Assist doctors and technicians with patient handling, restraint, and exam preparation Prepare lab samples, administer vaccines, and dispense medications as directed Provide attentive care to hospitalized and surgical patients Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked hospital Assist in our grooming salon with bathing, drying, and pet restraint

What We're Looking For Experience:

1+ years in a veterinary setting preferred

Skills:

Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities

Passion:

A genuine love for animals and client care

Flexibility:

Able to work 8-10 hour shifts,

Monday-Friday Location:
