Veterinary Science Department:
Veterinary Science Technology and Veterinary Service Administration Salary Range:
$67,000 - $70,000 The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton invites qualified applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Veterinary Science Technology and Veterinary Science Administration Departments, beginning September 1, 2026. Required Qualifications for
Tenure Track:
LVT/RVT with MBA or CVPM, or equivalent. DVM/VMD with MBA, CVPM, or moderate clinical management experience, or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications for
Tenure Track:
Proficiency in management software, such as QuickBooks and Excel.
Duties :
Instruction for veterinary business courses, such as Veterinary Practice Management, Animal Care Institution Management, etc. Supervision of students completing necessary internships for degree. In-person laboratory instruction (small animal focused) - would include veterinary nursing labs, surgical labs, clinical pathology labs, radiology labs, anatomy and physiology labs, and possible lead instruction on other courses as needed. Academic advising for students as well as club advising. Assistance with development of new curriculum and educational opportunities. Participation in faculty committees and other activities related to university service and engagement in scholarly activities that contribute to the dissemination of knowledge in the discipline.
